Special info session on ISP recertification and completion of self-audit forms - TODAY

Good morning, This is a reminder that the special info session on the upcoming ISP recertification of our School, with emphasis on how to correctly complete the self-audit forms, is TODAY, from 12-1 pm in FRNY B124. Please bring with you a self-audit form (completed if you already completed it) and all the questions you have regarding the self-audit and ISP process. New safety Committee members

Hello Everyone, I am glad to announce that at the ChE Safety Committee's recommendation, Dr. Kim appointed Claire Nimlos (working with Dr. Gounder) and Swapnil Deshmukh (working with Dr. Agrawal) to serve as graduate student members on the ChE Safety Committee for the next two years. Their appointment will commence on June 1, 2017. At the same time, I would like to thank Jennifer Laster and Ravi Joshi for their exemplary service on the safety committee over the last two years. Their effort and input in the safety committee work helped increase the safety culture in our School! Jennifer and Ravi will continue to serve on the safety committee until the start of the 2017 fall semester, and they will actively participate in the safety committee's activities dedicated to the ISP recertification of our School. CONFIRMED - NO LOSS OF AIR CONDITIONING

All - I am pleased to announce that a solution has been found and will be implemented so the building will not be shut off from the chilled water supply which cools our building. If all goes as planned, the building will stay in normal operation. However, the Project is still happening and on Wednesday 5-17-17 , the drive between FRNY and Physics will be closed which means you will not be able to access our dock area from Northwestern Ave. If you have questions please contact me. Safety awareness training session

Hello Everyone, I scheduled a new safety awareness training sessions for: Monday, May 15, 2017 from 1:30-2:30 pm in FRNY 1043. All new employees and researchers need to have initial safety training. If you have new people joining your groups for research this summer, they will need safety training before they start working (e.g. SURF students, visitors, exchange students, masters students, etc.). Please ask them to attend this session. If any student completed the safety training already, please ask them to contact me to check if they still need to attend. Most of our undergraduate students already have the initial training and would need to take the online refresher. Please refer to the documents I sent yesterday regarding additional safety requirements for new researchers. Classrooms Closed for Summer
