Fire Alarm Testing

BE ADVISED - Tonight at midnight - Wed 12:00 am - Fire and Safety will be testing the fire alarm systems newly installed in the construction area. This will set off all the alarms in the building for approximately 5 minutes while they inspect the new ones. You do not have to evacuate the building during this test. If you do happen to be in the building at this time it would be an opportunity though to think about how you would respond and what actions you would take if this were an actual emergency situation. Hello Everyone! Captain Keene Red Elk from the Purdue Police Department agreed to come and present exclusively for our School a combined session on "Workplace Violence" and "Active Shooter". His presentation/training is scheduled for Thursday, August 25, from 3-4 pm, in FRNY G140; please save the date! This is a very informative presentation/training that gives tips on how to identify and deal with a potentially violent situation, and what to do in case of an active shooter on campus.
