The award is for outstanding achievement in the industrial practice of chemical engineering toward the successful development and commercialization of pharmaceutical and biomedical products. Dr. E. Terry Papoutsakis (Ph.D. '79, M.S. '76) - 2012 James E. Bailey Award. This award is presented to an individual who has had an important impact on bioengineering and whose achievements have advanced the profession.

United Way Campaign

Dear All, A friendly reminder to those who have not turned in their United Way card. Please return it whether you donate or not. Please put you name at the bottom of the envelop. Please return them to me at your earliest convenience. At the end of the campaign (November 9), for those who turn in the envelop, I will put their name in a drawing and the winners will receive a United Way T-Shirt. United Way is a wonderful foundation, which helps developing solutions for poverty, tackling homelessness and supporting groundbreaking reading programs in local schools .... United Way of Greater Lafayette is right there, helping build extraordinary futures for many, and we need your support. For the past 23 years, Purdue's United Way campaign has helped our community connect, educate, and involve students, faculty, staff and retirees in the care and nurturing of our local community. United Way of Greater Lafayette's goal this year is $4.7 million. Purdue needs to raise $745,000 of this amount. Please make a donation again this year or give for the first time to assure the important work of United Way of Greater Lafayette will continue. Good Afternoon, The Bake Sale so far has netted $269.62. We still have items left to sell in the Main Office. I want to thank everyone for supporting the United Way's Bake Sale. I want to thank those who baked & helped at the Table. If I forgot someone, I am sorry.
