REMINDER: TRAVEL EXPENSE REPORT DUE DATE - JUNE 13

Good afternoon, This is a reminder to all travelers and their delegates that Wednesday, June 13 is the deadline to submit an expense report in Concur to ensure reimbursement in FY18. This will allow the business office time to review and approve these reports before our June 15 approval deadline. We ask that you respond as soon as possible to any of our requests for edits or comments if we return a report back to you. Expense reports not approved by June 15 will be deleted and travelers or their delegates will have to re-submit the expense report after July 1 to align with the new account structure. We appreciate your patience through this finance transition period. Do not hesitate to contact the business office if you have any questions regarding this deadline. Start of safety inspection of lab and offices

Hello everyone, In preparation for the upcoming ISP recertification with REM, scheduled for August 14, 2018, the ChE Safety Committee will start the inspection of all labs and offices on Monday morning, June 11 and will continue throughout the next week. If, for any reason we should not enter a lab for inspection, please let me know, as we don't want to disturb any sensitive experiments. New Safety Committee members

Hello Everyone, I am glad to announce that at the ChE Safety Committee's recommendation, Prof. Corti, Executive Officer for the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering, appointed Andrew Parker (working with Dr. Beaudoin) and Rexonni Lagare (working with Dr. Varma) to serve as graduate student members on the ChE Safety Committee for the next two years, starting today. Kai Jin (working with Prof. Wang), also joins the safety committee for one year, the time of his term as GSO safety officer. At the same time, I would like to thank Ryan Adams and Zhenwei Wu for their exemplary service on the safety committee over the last two years. Their effort and input in the safety committee work helped increase the safety culture in our School! Ryan and Zhenwei will continue to serve on the safety committee until the start of the 2018 fall semester, and they will actively participate in the safety committee's activities dedicated to the ISP recertification of our School. Good morning, Please see below. Time is running out for employees to sign up for a BoilerKey. If you haven't signed up, please do so before July 1st, 2018. http://www.purdue.edu/boilerkey BoilerKey set up<https://www.purdue.edu/apps/account/IAMO/BoilerKeyNew/Purdue_CareerAccount_…> BoilerKey signups in progress, new hardware tokens arrive July 1 deadline to sign up On July 1 all employees need to be signed up for and using BoilerKey if they want to access the employee portal or other SAP functions. Purdue employees can sign up for BoilerKey by visiting http://www.purdue.edu/boilerkey. Users can choose from two options: the Duo Mobile software application or a hardware token if a smartphone or tablet is unavailable. Hardware tokens were previously backordered, but distribution has resumed with receipt of a new shipment. What is two-factor authentication? BoilerKey adds a second login requirement to go with your password. At Purdue, it's a numerical code randomly generated on a smartphone app called Duo or a hardware token. Essentially, even if someone were to get your password (if you fall for a phishing email, for instance), your account would still be protected because only you can physically access your smartphone or key fob hardware token to get the necessary login code. Why do I need it? BoilerKey protects your sensitive data, including financial information such as your bank account and PUID numbers. What if I need a little extra help? After the July 1 deadline, if you do not have BoilerKey, you can still sign up for it. The only consequence is that you will not be able to access the employee portal after July 1 until you have BoilerKey. To avoid having to sign up at crunch time, sign up today.
