Hello everyone, Just wanted to let you know that the PGSO is doing a Chipotle fundraiser today. If you go to Chipotle between 4 pm and 8 pm today, mention you are with the Chemical Engineering PGSO. All the funds will end up going to a no-kill animal shelter in Lafayette. The shelter is Almost Home Humane Society, they help around 3000 pets every year. So help support our animal friends by coming to Chipotle today. Also, the chemical engineering students that come today will receive a heavily discounted PGSO shirt. 2019 Marilyn Forney Trailblazer Award - call for nominations

Good afternoon, Davidson School of Chemical Engineering is inviting nominations for the 2019 Marilyn Forney Trailblazer Award. This award recognizes an outstanding student whose impact has helped pave the way for women in the field of engineering. Two students will be recognized with this award: one undergraduate, and one graduate student. Please see attached the award description and details on eligibility and selection criteria. Last year recipients were: Claire Kilmer (graduate student award) Ana Carneiro (undergraduate student award) Due date for nominations is March 18, 2019, and the awards will be presented at the end of the 2019 Women in Chemical Engineering Seminar on Saturday, April 6, 2019. Safety awareness training session - new dates

Hello Everyone, I have scheduled 2 safety awareness training sessions for the following dates: Monday, February 25th at 2:30 p.m. in FRNY G060A Tuesday, February 26th at 10:30 a.m. in FRNY G060A All new employees and researchers need to have initial safety training. If you have new people joining your groups for research, they will need safety training before they can start working (e.g. visitors, exchange students, post-docs, etc.). Please ask them to attend any of these sessions. Most of our undergraduate students already have the initial training, and would need to take the online refresher. Students from other departments, doing research in our labs, will need this initial training. Should you have any questions, please let me know.
