Safety awareness training session - tomorrow

Hello Everyone, The next safety awareness training sessions is scheduled for tomorrow, September 7, 2018 from 10:30 - 11:30 am in FRNY 1142. All new employees and researchers need to have initial safety training. If you have new people joining your groups for research, they will need safety training before they start working (e.g. visitors, exchange students, post-docs, etc.). Please ask them to attend this session. Most of our undergraduate students already have the initial training, and would need to take the online refresher. Students from other departments, doing research in our labs, will need this initial training. All: Tomorrow, September 6th, 2018 Outstanding Chemical Engineer Award winners Stephen Cornell (BSChE '79), Prasenjeet Ghosh (PhD. ChE '02) and Marcy Ziek (BSChE '77) will be on campus. You are invited to attend both the Reception from 2:30-3:00 p.m. in the Robert Henson Atrium where cake and punch will be served and the Open Forum from 3:00-4:00 p.m. in room G140 where two of the Awardees, Stephen Cornell and Prasenjeet Ghosh will be speak about their perspective on the role of chemical engineering education in their career preparation. Brown water

BE ADVISED - As some have noticed and reported, the water coming out of the restroom sinks is a brownish color. Repairs were made on the hot water pumps this morning and when they turned the water back on to full pressure, it broke loose any residue in the supply lines. Turning on the taps and letting them run for a period of time will flush the system out and it will return to normal. Thanks and sorry for any inconvenience.
