Hi all, As discussed in class, we will have our Mock Design Review on Monday (02/18/2019) in ARMS 1101. Mock Design Review - Water Filtration - 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm Mock Design Review - Mobile Science Labs - 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm. I have the room reserved from 5:30 pm. So, few things to do before the Mock Design Review 1. Get the Design Document uploaded by tonight 2. Be at least 80% presentation ready so that based on the feedback from Mock Design Review you can work on it. 3. As prof. Oakes mentioned, try to have a story of how things took course in your project. A good starting point would be to answer Why, How, What, When and Where of the design decisions that made in your project. 4. Remember to have an introduction of what your project is about before jumping into details of the current semester work. If you have any questions/comments/concerns, feel free to email me. This program's goal is to expand the community involvement of Purdue students in partnership with communities, nonprofit agencies, schools, and governmental bodies. Reminder: PDH Deduction for No-Shows to Live PDHs Students who register for a PDH session and fail to attend will be deducted one PDH credit for each missed event. Important EPICS Week 1 Announcements ________________________________ Welcome Students Welcome to the EPICS family new students, and welcome back to the returners. We are excited to see the impact you will make in the community through your work this semester. A few things to get you started: ________________________________ Professional Development Hours (PDHs) All students are required to complete five (5) PDHs per credit hour each semester. The requirements are listed in the PDH Menu<https://sharepoint.ecn.purdue.edu/epics/teams/Public%20Documents/PDH%20Menu…>. All first time students will need to watch the Introduction to EPICS<https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLc0ibrJx9X0nupwJAyql2G1nJySiF0k-3> playlist on YouTube this week, and preferable before your lab. Instructions for Logging Online Lecture Completion: 1) Watch all videos in the appropriate playlist. It is a good idea to subscribe to the EPICS Youtube channel. 2) Login to MyEPICS<https://engineering.purdue.edu/MyEpics/> using your Purdue career account. 3) Click View Activities, select 'All' in the 'Show' dropdown, and find activity with the naming matching the playlist. 4) Click 'Makeup', fill out the form, and click 'Submit' Notice: PDH Deduction for No-Shows to Live PDHs Students who register for a PDH session and fail to attend will be deducted one PDH credit for each missed event.
