Important EPICS Week 7 Announcements Good luck everyone with your design reviews this week! Best, Andrew ________________________________ Design Documents - All should be turned in by the end of the day today. If you haven't submitted, do so ASAP. * A PDF of the design documents should be submitted by the end of day that your lab is held to give our design reviewers time to read them. * You can continue to update and overwrite the document throughout the semester. * Upload instructions: https://engineering.purdue.edu/EPICS/teams/team-documents/design-doc-upload-... ________________________________ Design Reviews - Feb 19-22 * Dress code is business casual or better. * Plan to use the podium PC, not your personal laptop. Preferably bring your presentation on a flash drive. * Do not log in/out of the podium PC with your personal account. * Leave the GoToMeeting session on and do not adjust the screen sharing. * Teams are responsible for inviting their community partners and any guest reviewers from on-campus (faculty, etc.). o Be sure to let the EPICS office know which guests are coming so we can get them parking passes ________________________________ Purdue Service Learning Summit - Registration due Feb 22 The 2019 Summit will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2019, 1:00 - 5:00 PM and is hosted by the Office and Engagement and Purdue Honors College. This event serves to bring together faculty, students, staff, and community partners to discuss best practices in engagement and service-learning; highlight accomplishments; and increase collaboration opportunities. This year, the event will feature two interactive sessions: a beginning track on critical listening and partnership formation and an advanced track on developing engaged scholarship. A showcase in conjunction with networking and hors d'oeuvres will close the event. Maker Faire is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a venue for these "makers" to show hobbies, experiments, projects. We call it the Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth - a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness.
