June Safety Issue 6/3/2015 To All: _ISP Certification Renewal_ We are preparing for the 2015 LORRE Integrated Safety Plan (ISP) certification renewal audit.This is a very important safety program for LORRE.First, we will separate into two teams and preform self-audits.After the self-audits are completed, each PI must sign the self-audit checklist. Room 231, B38,235,138,235,236,237,256,236, by Prof. Mosier Room 359,333,336 by Prof. Engelberth Room 335,233/252,254, by Dr. Eduardo All self-audits result report to Prof. Ladisch The self-audits should be finished by 6/19/2015.If there are any corrections to be made based on the self-audit, please complete them by 7/1/2015. The chemical inventory is helpful when trying to find certain chemicals.Also please check the inventory list before ordering any chemicals to avoid duplication.These updates will help everyone save time and money on research _Lab Coat Cleaning_ We have recently taken all dirty lab coats to be cleaned.We would like to thank Joan Goetz for washing the lab coats for the LORRE laboratory. To All: Physical Facilities will be performing routine maintenance on our fume hood exhaust fans this Thursday and Friday. Please see the schedule below. Thursday, October 15:B38, 231, 235, 237, 252, 333, 333B, 333C Friday, October 16:335, 336, 359 Please cooperate. Antonio Carlos Feritas came the Lab to take samples on Monday night at 9:00pm.He found The Lab#233 and Lab#336 the doors close but no lock. His responsibility to lock the lab doors is very appreciated by the committee. For safety concerns if you are the last one to leave the Lab, please make sure that the doors are locked.
