Reminder: Research Showcase Poster Session on Feb. 7

Hello LORRE Grad students! On Thursday, February 7th ABE will host prospective students. As part of the events, we will hold a short Research Showcase Poster Session where the prospective students, current students, and faculty will be able to interact with and learn about some of the research efforts in our department. We are looking for about 30 current graduate students to present posters. Ideally, we want posters that have already been printed as this event is not intended to add more work. ALL LORRE STUDENTS WITH A POSTER ARE EXPECTED TO PRESENT! The posters you shared at the LORRE 40th will be fine for this endeavor. The Research Showcase Poster Session will be held on February 7th from 5:30 - 6:30 PM in the PMU South Ballroom. Dinner will be served immediately after and we encourage you to stay for dinner. Unlabeled solutions are not acceptable

Lab users- I have encountered two or more unlabeled solutions this week alone. At no time during use should any piece of glassware, etc be unlabeled. If you are using it even for a second, a transfer container must be labeled. We have plenty of lab labeling tape (colored). If you need more, please see me. I hope that DATA will consider bringing Michael back again in the future. I have highly recommended him throughout my department. Energetic, insightful, entertaining, engaging, interactive. Would like to see him again. Michael was very upbeat and made it a fun training. I have really enjoyed his workshop and performance last year. Simply outstanding. The interaction helped us participants try out the concepts; much better than being lectured to about the importance of not judging books by covers. Fun and eye-opening. The workshop was fun.
