Eppendorf/Falcon tubes in POTR fridges and freezers

Good afternoon. I wanted to send out a helpful reminder to SECURE your individual samples BEFORE Fridge/Freezer content moving day tentatively scheduled for Wed Dec 2. It is unlikely that you will be handling only your stored samples, so it's imperative that they be easily moved without loss. I'm suggesting you place your open rack of loose 1.5mL Eppendorf tubes or 15mL Falcon tubes in a closed, LABELED Ziploc bag. There are Ziploc bags available in 333 near the center hood in an open tub and one drawer below. As always, please thouroughly label any unknowns/samples/solutions with contents, name, date and project at minimum. Thank you. Lindsey

-60 freezer at room temp

It was discovered this morning that the -86 freezer (recently repaired and only reaches-60C, Purdue barcode 1025315, Forma Scientific) amd its entire contents were at Room Temp. All contents have been relocated to -30C freezer (Thermo Revlon brand). I am in the process of getting the -80 (Fisher Isotemp) down to -80C and plan to relocate contents from -30 to -80. Lindsey

Request to mark POTR small equipment

I would like to make a request that POTR lab users mark any equipment that they antipcaipte using between now and Dec. Not just glassware as before. Examples: HPLC7, one hot plate/stirrer per room, one sand bath, one bioreactor, ring stand and accompanying clamps, etc. I plan to start packing those next week. Thank you. Lindsey

Seeking Rotary Tubing Cutter

I am looking for the rotary tubing cutter to replace a ferrule and nut set on HPLC7 if someone knows it's whereabouts. I am unsuccessful in cutting a clean tube using the tube cut-off machine. Thank you. Lindsey
