Candidates will join projects associated with developing and applying new methods to characterize and quantitate biochemical markers that are relevant in environmental exposures and chronic diseases. The fellowship carries a stipend of approximately $2,700 per month for full-time undergraduate student fellows and $3,400 for full-time graduate student fellows. The program dates are May 25th - August 5th, 2016. The candidate must demonstrate financial need, have an outstanding undergraduate record, and be a citizen of the US. DOE Computational Sciences Graduate Fellowship - January 19, 2016 The Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship (DOE CSGF) program provides a $36,000/year stipend and all tuition and fees paid, as well as opportunities to students pursuing doctoral degrees in fields of study that use high performance computing to solve complex science and engineering problems. http://www.krellinst.org/csgf/about-doe-csgf Charles C. Chappelle Fellowship - January 25, 2016 Provides a one-year fellowship to students with undergraduate degrees from Purdue for the furtherance of post-graduate research at Purdue University. The Chappelle Fellowship provides a stipend, Graduate School Fellow Scholarship, payment of most fees, and a medical insurance supplement. ABE 527: Computer Models in Environmental and Natural Resources Engineering Credit Hours: 3.00 Offered: Spring in alternate years. Available Spring 2016 Brief Description: Current computer models utilized for decision support are applied using case studies to further enhance the understanding of the hydrological processes and to conduct water quality assessments. Emphasis is placed on hands-on modeling work and comparative evaluations of standard models in the field. Advantages and limitations of the models are discussed.
