Please check the following and make sure you are wearing safety glasses, lab coats etc. as required:
Building wide OSHA Safety Inspection
* Dispose of all used nitrile gloves.
* Check for either extension cord (not to be used) or daisy chained power strips.
* All chemicals/ samples must be labeled. If abbreviations are used a master list must be posted.
* Remove sharps containers, chemical bottles etc. that block air flow inside chemical fume hoods.
* Do not store any items on top of flammable storage cabinets.
* Check that demarcated area on floor around electrical boxes are not blocked.
* Check for hanging PPE or other items from compress gas cylinders, fume hood valves and/or other controls.
