Dear Cleanroom Users Rigging activity is completed for the day and the cleanroom is open for research. We will shut down the cleanroom tomorrow morning at 8AM to resume installation of the R2R system. Again we apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for being patient. Party tomorrow!!! NSAC Spring Picnic and Officer Election (April 26th 2018)

Dear all, We have the spring picnic of NSAC coming up on April 26th, where we will have live music, food and elect new officers of NSAC 2018-19. Professor Dana Weinstein will be our special guest at the picnic. What: NSAC Spring Picnic When: Thursday, 4/26/2018 5:00 pm Where: PVCC Lounge and Patio Please RSVP using the following link for the picnic. https://goo.gl/forms/FVLxkhFyv89CIqi72 Food We will have Moe's fajita bar and tres-leches cake for the dinner. Live Music For the live music, we will have an amp, mic, and mixer, and have it in Open Mic style. Please feel free to bring your own instruments to perform. So far we have performers with Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar, and Saxophone. Officer Election NSAC will have the election for the 2018-19 Executive Board for four positions: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary. We would have open nominations from the attendees. If you want to run for a position, you must attend the spring picnic. Also, please prepare for a 1-2 minute speech addressing the following questions: * What leadership experience do you have? * What voluntary activities within NSAC have you participated in? * What is your vision for NSAC for the upcoming year? * Any particular ideas that you want to implement if you become the NSAC officer. * How much actual time commitment can you make to NSAC? (Consider if you would be too busy to participate/lead in the activities of NSAC before running.) Notice - Upcoming Cleanroom Closings Wednesday 4/25 and Thursday 4/26

Dear Cleanroom Users, Due to unforeseen complications with cleanroom raised floor structural design requiring added support to handle for the heavy R2R equipment being installed the cleanroom. The cleanroom closing scheduled for Wednesday will also extended throughout the day on Thursday as well. Starting at 8:00 AM on Wednesday 4/25 we will be closing the entire cleanroom to research until 5PM while components of the new R2R system are moved into place by a professional rigging company. Again starting at 8:00 AM on Thursday 4/26 we will be closing the entire cleanroom to research until 5PM. On both days the west end of the tour aisle by the freight elevator will be blocked off. A notice will be sent out at the end of each day notifying that the cleanroom is open for research. Again we apologize for any inconvenience, these closures are necessary for safety reasons. All, By request, several changes have been made to the shutdown schedule originally communicated: 1. The west end of the tour aisle will now be closed from Friday 4/20 through Wednesday 4/25. 2. The date of the cleanroom closing has been moved to Wednesday 4/25/18. Sorry for the changes. BNC Cleanroom Shutdown for Tool Install

Attention BCN, This is an early notification that we will be shutting down the cleanroom in preparation of the Roll to Roll installation next week for two days. The cleanroom will be unavailable on 4/17-4/18 or 4/18-4/19, depending on when the shipment arrives. Also note that the west end tour isle will be blocked off as well. Once we know more information I will pass it along. Thanks.
