Dear All,
More often than not, a lot of research that gets published in peer reviewed academic journals is read only by academics and researchers, and while there are many reasons for that, one of the most widely stated one is its complexity that makes it harder to understand by anyone who is not an expert in that specific field. This (and the cost of accessing the journal) also acts as a prohibiting factor in disseminating research and knowledge and allowing others to build on top of each other’s’ work. Additionally, the complexity also creates a bottleneck for young students and kids to be interested in science and hands-on learning.
Science Journal for Kids<https://www.sciencejournalforkids.org/> is a nonprofit organization that produces K-12 science teaching resources adapted from peer-reviewed academic research. All their content is free. They recently adapted Jackie Linnes’s research paper on ‘Detecting HIV from Whole Blood Samples’<https://sciencejournalforkids.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/hiv_test_artic…> .
If you are interested in working with them to translate your research, please see the attached pdf that provide details on their work and approach.
Hope this is helpful.
Thanks
Kind Regards,
Pallavi Gupta
