Building on past years' successes, the 5th annual event aims to introduce a diverse range of post-Ph.D. career options in India to participants. Our target audience is those who are currently engaged in research activities outside India (primarily the United States). A great line-up of speakers discussing traditional career paths in academia and industry is accompanied this year with speakers discussing careers in tech entrepreneurship, research management, science communication, science policy, and patent law. ARMS PASS Schedules

Hello MSE Researchers, The ARMS & MSEE Lab PASS Schedules are having issues with updates for the past few days. ECN is aware that there is an issue and is currently looking into it. If you are experiencing any issues in particular, please let Aury and I know we can update ECN. For the time being, please continue adding lab reservations when you are able to. This is useful for contact tracing and as well as making sure the max capacity of these labs is not exceeded. Please remember that undergraduate lab classes take the priority in the teaching labs (ARMS 2093, ARMS 2130-ARMS 2191). The undergrad lab classes have the teaching labs reserved during the following times: Tues: 7am-10pm Wednesday: 9:00am-12:00pm Thurs: 7am-10pm These times are subject to change as the semester moves forward if a space is underutilized during these time periods. Dear Faculty and Staff, There has been a spike in scam emails going out late in the week with words like “Do you have a minute?” or “Can you send me your cell, I need to send you a text” These typically look like they’re coming from your supervisor, but have a completely made up email address… eg: Mitch Daniels <mitch.daniels.purdue.edu(a)gmail.com<mailto:mitch.daniels.purdue.edu@gmail.com>> Once contact has been established, the typical ask is for a gift card to be purchased and the number sent along. Please do not fall for such emails. Your supervisors would not ask you to purchase a gift card for them. Confirm this with an independent email (not a reply-to), or better still, a phone call. Scammers are taking advantage of our increased workloads, stress and distractions to catch us in a moment of indecision - be aware and vigilant. Just be aware that I do not typically need anyone else to purchase a gift card for me.
