For this week's NSAC | Coffee Hour Special Series, our interviewee is Prof. Mathieu Luisier- Purdue Alumni Professor, currently serving as an Associate Professor of Computational Nanoelectronics at ETH Zurich, Switzerland. Prof. Luisier is a recipient of 2013 Starting Grant, awarded to talented and early-career scientists who have produced excellent supervised work and ready to work independently and show potential as a research leader, from European Research Council (ERC). He has also received the 2019 ACM Gordon Bell Prize for his outstanding achievement in high performance computing. Join us on Friday at 2PM as Prof. Luisier shares his academic journey and some success tips in research with us. Dr. Page will outline an equity framework, various mentoring models, and discuss case-studies showing the value of various frameworks and models. This presentation includes work Dr. Page co-authored with Dr. Beronda Montgomery for the NASEM report on mentoring in STEMM. Please join us for her lecture on mentoring beyond hierarchies. This free virtual lecture series is also open to anyone outside of the Purdue Community.
