Hello all!
In this week's email:
* Tomorrow night's meeting
* Elections coming up
* Info on the 5K
* Link to our team calendar
Tomorrow night's meeting will be in ARMS B098 at 6:00, as usual. There will be an educational activity on failure modes in international development, and the new member team will be working on their mini design project.
Officer elections are coming up! If you're considering running for an officer position but have questions, find any of the officers and ask. Please note that to run for an executive position you must already be holding an officer position.
Today was the EWB 5K! We had 14 runners, which was a great success for our first run. Thanks to our events head, Hannah Fowler, and all our volunteers!
Here's <https://calendar.google.com/calendar/embed?src=k6adasfa5cutbnmsfkr76qvcuk%4…> our team calendar, the place to go for all our EWB happenings.
That's everything-- see everyone at the meeting tomorrow!

* 5K update
* Final dues reminder
* Link to our team calendar
Design review is this Monday at 6:00 PM, in the i2i Studio! Everyone from the chapter is invited to attend and there will be Purdue faculty, professional engineers, and other industry members in attendance as our design reviewers. If you plan on coming, please be there early (sitting down and ready by 5:55) as we will begin at 6:00 sharp. The people presenting will be wearing business casual, but there is no need for general members to dress up. The design review will contain a presentation by the President, Project Manager, and Design Teams and then a question and answer session, where anyone is welcome to ask questions. Please let Esther (eroselaa(a)purdue.edu) know if you have any questions or concerns.
Our chapter's 5K is scheduled for Sunday, October 22nd and we need volunteers! The race will begin at 8:00 AM, but we need people to come set up around 7:00 AM. Hello all,
You may have heard that EWB Purdue will be hosting a Halloween 5K and we need volunteers! The 5K will serve as a fundraiser for our club and a way to publicize our organization in the local community. It will take place on the Purdue campus on Sunday, October 22nd starting at about 8:00 AM. We're looking for 25+ volunteers to arrive around 7:00 AM to set up for the race and then stay through clean up until about 10:00 AM, so that means all hands on deck!
Please fill out the google form below by 5 pm Monday, October 2nd to say you can volunteer or help contact sponsors. We need a list of volunteer names because minors will be participating in the event so SAO will need to approve our volunteers. If you have already agreed to volunteer please still fill out the google form.
More information about the race will be shared soon. Thank you in advance for your help!
Best,
Elena

If you haven't paid your team dues yet-- you need to! All EWB members should have paid there dues at this point-- Abde is going to start hunting you down if you haven't paid. Dues are $25 for Fall and Spring, or $15 for just the Fall semester. Don't forget-- you can pay your dues on TooCOOL Purdue's site.

Next week, our EPICS team will be presenting their design review for the chapter and guest reviewers. This is an excellent chance for our design teams to give the chapter an in-depth look at their progress this semester. Our design review meeting will be at 6:00 on Monday 10/2 in ARMS B098, just like any other weekly meeting.
Here<https://calendar.google.com/calendar/embed?src=k6adasfa5cutbnmsfkr76qvcuk%4…> is our team Google calendar, the best place to keep up to date on our EWB chapter.

* Plan for this Monday's meeting
For those who are interested in joining EWB: come to our meeting tomorrow (Monday the 11th), as there will be a presentation for new members! After this week new members will be participating with the rest of the chapter, so it's important to come tomorrow and hear our new member presentation.
