Hey everyone, I checked the programs on the website today and it looks like the Nicaragua and the Rwanda project are now taken. There is however a new project in Honduras that is very similar to the project we worked on in Bolivia and might be worth applying for. So I think this would be a suitable replacement for the Nicaragua Project. I've attached the full applications for the bio-digester in Uganda and the water system in Honduras. Please read over them when you have time so we can start on the applications when we meet next. We will not be having a meeting this Wednesday but next Wednesday the 7th we will be meeting in a computer lab to work on the applications. Hi EWBers, Below is an email from a grad student in engineering education who is completing his dissertation, and looking for students to talk to about their learning experiences. Take a look if it interests you. Chrissy Verhoff Communications Manager Hi, I am a graduate student in engineering education. I am looking for engineering undergraduate students to help me with my dissertation study on interdisciplinary learning experiences by attending a 60 minute interview. Your interdisciplinary experience can be courses, projects, or research. Upon completion of the interview, you will receive $10 cash. Any information you provide will be confidential and will not be identifiable. Participation in the study is voluntary and you can withdraw at any time without penalty. You must be 18 or older to participate. [Ewb-list] Review of Tonight's Meeting

Hi EWBers, At tonight's meeting, we went over our 5 top options for new projects. These included: -Tanzania: latrines, school storage space -Uganda: shallow wells, bore holes -Uganda: biodigester -Rwanda: water -Nicaragua: bridge At the next meeting, which will be next week, we will review them one more time and have a final vote before we begin completing the applications. Also, at the next meeting, start bringing in money for dues. They are $30 per year, or $20 per semester. Thalib will be collecting these. And don't forget the Haunted Corn Maze!! It will be this Friday, and we will be meeting at 6:30pm to drive over. I'm sorry about the fail with the privacy settings on the google doc sign up sheet...it is fixed now! Hi EWBers, Wednesday is the big day! The focus of the meeting will be choosing new projects to work on, and everyone (even new members!) will have a say in our decision. This is a very exciting time to be in the club and a great way to get involved and make our next long-term project your own.
