From: Karen Denise Alfrey <alfreyk(a)purdue.edu> Date: Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 2:50 PM Subject: Graduate TA opportunities in Indianapolis (EPICS/VIP/Makerspace) Hello, Indianapolis Site Directors – Please share the following with your graduate students who may be interested in TA opportunities in Indianapolis: Hello, Purdue graduate students in Indianapolis! We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants for Indianapolis-based roles in EPICS, VIP, and the Makerspace for Fall 2026. EPICS projects connect undergraduate students to nonprofit community partners to provide engineering design solutions to address real-world needs. VIP teams work on faculty-sponsored research projects or industry-sponsored design challenges. Each EPICS and VIP section meets once a week for two hours, and TAs with a 20 hr/week appointment are typically assigned 3-4 sections. TAs would be expected to attend each weekly meeting as well as supporting the program through grading, mentoring/office hours, and holding occasional sessions to help students develop skills needed for their projects (such as coding, 3D printing, understanding tolerances, and other topics). Makerspace TAs staff the Indianapolis Makerspace, providing guidance to students who come there to work on their projects while ensuring safe operation of all equipment. We are in need to capture the Fire Lane and Parking Spaces, however I’m not 100% certain at this time, as to how many of the parking spaces are needed. It will also cut off some access to the Lab overhead doors located on that side of ET. We don’t anticipate anymore than a day to get the equipment to its final resting spot. We should be receiving a lift plan in the very near future to finalize any details, however no other Building Closure should be needed. Regardless if you could review the attached capture plan and let me know if you have any questions or concerns, we will be sure to get them addressed. Thanks, Dino – IU CPF Construction

Thanks, Dave Please be advised that from March 16, 2026, at 6:00 AM through March 21, 2026, at 3:30 PM, there will be a partial closure of the SL 099 corridor between SL 058 and SL 070 to allow for above ceiling work. Temporary barriers will be placed around the work areas to ensure everyone's safety. While travel through the corridor will remain accessible during this period. Please note that demolition of ductwork as part of this project is expected to generate noise.
