BoilerCube General Meeting
Tuesday, February 25
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
WTHR 362
BoilerCube is a new club on campus that seeks to compete in the national ChemE Cube competition hosted by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AICHE). Every week we have a meeting to discuss the goal of the club which is to build a 1 cubic foot cube based around a prompt. Every year a new prompt is released in January, and teams discuss how to solve the problem statement. Along with this, teams must work on an ad, poster, and pitch that is submitted in the Spring about how they are going to build the cube. All teams must present their idea to the ChemE Cube panel and a select number will be chosen to attend the national conference in the fall and present their cube.
Right now BoilerCube needs more people with mechanical, electrical, business, marketing, and/or chemical skillsets, all of which contribute heavily to the function of the project as a whole. People in the BoilerCube club will be able to gain knowledge and experience researching and building the cube along with team work skills.

MENTAL HEALTH MINUTE
Greetings from the CARES Hub!
Midterms are upon us, and we have seen many students struggling with stress and anxiety during this demanding time. We are so grateful that students are showing up and talking about their struggles so that we can support them! We do not want anyone to feel alone.
A discussion about our mental health is one of the most important conversations we can have with one another, but we tend not to talk about it. Struggling with mental health on occasion is common; talking about mental health is not. We want to change that culture!
Michelle Obama's quote about this really resonates with us, "We should never tell someone with a broken leg that they should stop wallowing and get it together. We do not consider taking medication for an ear infection something for which to be ashamed. We should not treat mental health challenges any differently!" Sharing our mental health concerns should be as comfortable and common place as talking about our physical concerns.
If you are struggling with stress, anxiety, or other concerns, please come see us at the CARES Hub in ARMS 1261 or stop by to see our very own CoE therapist, Jennie Beutler, during her daily walk-in hours from 1-2 p.m., Monday through Friday in ARMS 1251. CAPS staff are also available at (765)494-6995. Please do not struggle alone. We are here to help!

MENTAL HEALTH MINUTE
Greetings from the CARES Hub!
Friday is Valentine's Day, a day set aside for Hallmark and chocolate manufacturers to make extra money or for us to show our love and appreciation for one another, depending on whether you are more of a cynic or a romantic!
Kidding aside, we as human beings are hard-wired for connection. Social connectedness affects us psychologically and social-emotionally by providing meaningful interactions, emotional support, and a sense of belonging, all important factors for our mental health.
This week, reflect upon and share your appreciation to those in your community whom you feel a sense of connectedness. They will appreciate your acknowledgment, and sharing your appreciation will make you feel good too!
If you are struggling to make connections, come see us at the CARES Hub in Arms 1261 or stop by to see our therapist, Jennie, during her walk-in hours for some helpful advice. Jennie's walk-in hours are in ARMS 1251 from 1 - 2 p.m. daily, Monday through Friday.
