*_LORRE April Safety Issue_*
(04/30/2014)
To All:
1.For safety reasons, please make sure you are closing and locking the lab doors if you are the last one to leave. Also, be sure to turn off the light and check that all hot plates/stirrers are turned off. This is to help us avoid any lab accidents.
2.Currently, there are 78 pipettes in the lab. 74 have been calibrated, labeled, and distributed in the labs. There are many different types of pipettes, so please be gentle when using them. Pictures and instructions on how to adjust each type of pipette are below:

*3.**A big thank you goes out to the following graduate students who helped with moving all the equipment out of the second floor hallway and clean Lab#333: Barron Hewetson, Iman Beheshti, Ximing Zhang, Caehwan Kim, David Orrega Lopez, Mahdieh Aghazadeh, He Zhang, and others.*
*We will still need everyone's help with the upcoming lab chemical inventory update (2014) and waste and chemical materials disposal.*
*Also, every year LORRE performs an Integrated Safety Plan (ISP) self-audit in July. Details will follow in an upcoming safety issue. *
