Please know that the Weldon School, College of Engineering, and Purdue University take our duty of care to our students, faculty, and staff very seriously. Hi all, Thank you for our interactions at the Townhall today. I learned a lot and hope that our discussion helped understand what we can control, what we can't, and how to tell the difference. I'll leave you all with the mantra recently championed by Purdue President, Mung Chiang. As reported in response to a question during a 4/5 Board of Trustees meeting, President Chiang said, "I do want to clearly state that not all universities are the same. This university remains serene, sturdy, and strategic." * As an engineer this resonates deeply for me. First, I try to understand the problem statement. Second, I try to spend some time being strategic and creative in the design specifications.
