Fwd: FW: COMMUNICATION: All Hazards Siren Test on Wednesday, March 21
The All Hazards Emergency Warning Sirens will be tested next week as part of Indiana’s Severe Weather Preparedness Week (March 18-24). The 72 Tippecanoe County sirens (including the seven sirens located at Purdue University) will be tested on Wednesday, March 21, between 10 and 10:30 a.m. and again between 7:30 and 8 p.m. If there is inclement weather, the test will be postponed until the same hours on March 22. Please inform building occupants that the sirens will sound on this date. The test is a good opportunity to review your building’s emergency procedures; however, no action is required for this test. Additional information on severe weather preparedness can be obtained from the National Weather Service newsletter: http://www.crh.noaa.gov/images/ind/pdf/2012_%20IN_SVR_WX_Newsletter.pdf Contact the Emergency Preparedness office at 494-0446 if you have any questions.
