MSE family, We’re still waiting to see if ARMS opens tomorrow. Faculty, grad students, and staff, please choose how you want to proceed in terms of planning on a work from home day. If you want to move to an online presentation mode for classes tomorrow I’ll support that, if you want to wait and make the call later tonight I’m fine with that also. To the MSE undergrads in MSE 390, I’m going to wait till the 8 PM time slot to find out if we can do it in person, and will send communications for particular classes through brightspace. Here’s hoping we get back to normal soon. -- David Bahr Head and Professor School of Materials Engineering, Purdue University http://www.purdue.edu/mse dfbahr@purdue.edu<mailto:dfbahr@purdue.edu> From: "Rickus, Jenna L." <rickus@purdue.edu> Date: Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 4:51 PM To: Subject: Re: ARMS Building CLOSED on TUESDAY Dear ARMS Instructors, The building is not yet cleared to reopen. Facilities and the fire department are still working in the space now. I will receive another update from administrative operations this evening. I will email you all again tonight between 7 and 8 pm with a status update. Use your best judgement on how to manage your class given the uncertainty. And please continue to communicate with your students. Let me know if you have questions.
