They were already gone before I was able to get out there, so we aren’t sure whose research group they were from, but they were from a group working in the ARMS building. They had the right idea to do the spray painting outside (instead of in a chemical fume hood), but they could have done it better. Is there any way you could relay the following info to fabrication labs in the building? Instead of spray painting in the open air, they need to put up a back stop for the overspray. A large cardboard box works well. Without the back stop they run the risk of the paint overspray getting on vehicles parked around the area. This has been an issue in other areas on campus and has cost the University thousands of dollars in individual insurance claims. The students should also be protecting themselves.
