Scheduled SL Building Shutdowns for Isolation Valve Installation – Saturday, May 16 All Purdue Indianapolis Site Directors, Please see the domestic water, vacuum system and natural gas shutdown for the SL building the morning of May 16th. Please see the details below. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns and pass along as needed. Thanks, Dave All- Please note that the SL building will remain open during this process. This Shutdown will affect all floor levels in the SL building ONLY. To move forward with the renovation lab project, we need to install new isolation valves. This installation is crucial to support the contractors and keep us on track with the current project schedule. The SL building shutdown for installing these isolation valves will impact the following systems: - SL Domestic Cold Water - SL Domestic Hot Water - SL Vacuum System - SL Natural Gas The shutdown is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, from 5:00 AM to noon. CFS will start with the domestic water system valves, aiming to restore domestic water by about 8:00 AM. However, the exact timing may vary depending on how smoothly the installation goes. If water remains shut off past 8:00 AM, CFS will post signs in the restrooms directing people to use restrooms in the LD building. The following areas will be affected during this shutdown, as discussed with CFS: - Restrooms - Autoclave on level 3, room 333 - North side of greenhouse swamp coolers - Drinking fountains Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
