I2D-list No Faculty Meeting for I2D until October
Dear I2D Faculty and Friends, Just to be clear - our first faculty meeting is going to be held as below. There were no volunteers for meetings in September. I would like to announce a Sept 16th Happy Hour (next Friday), to be held at the Stacked Pickle. See attached. The purpose of this happy hour is to discuss what engineering faculty are doing in the water-food-energy nexus. What innovations are you working on that can improve water use/availability or energy-use/availability for food production and processing. There are a lot of grant opportunities out there around this nexus. If we don't know what you are doing, we can't invite you to participate in proposals. Very best wishes, Andrea I2D Meeting Schedule: 2016- 2017 Wednesday, October 5: Seed Grantee Chad Jafvert and John Howarter; and Gary Burniske, Logical Frameworks for Development Projects Thursday, October 20: Seed Grantee DeBoer Lab and Yuehwern Yih Wednesday, November 2: Seed Grantee Nandi Clean Kitchen (Danielle presenting) and Andrea Burniske, Monitoring and Evaluation for Development Projects Thursday, November, 17: Seed Grantees Chongli Yuan and Julie Liu and TBD Wednesday, December 7: Seed Grantee Chip Blatchley and Margaret Busse and (I2D Lab Expo and Next Seed Grants) Andrea Burniske Program Manager, I 2D Lab Global Engineering Programs, 4th Floor, Wang Hall Purdue University West Lafayette, IN Ph: 765.496.3533 Skype: AndreaLaBurniske https://engineering.purdue.edu/GEP/I2DLab Punctuated Equilibrium - the hypothesis that evolutionary development is marked by isolated episodes of rapid speciation between long periods of little or no change
