Faculty Help Needed for Promoting the 2010 ESE Symposium Poster Competition
From: Pang, Kejia Sent: Wednesday, October 13, 2010 7:33 AM Hello ESE faculty, Our 2010 ESE symposium, with a theme of 'Bridging the Gap from Science to Policy: Technology, Environment, and Sustainable Development ', will be held on Oct 27th at Discovery Park! As an important part of the symposium, the Undergraduate and Graduate Research Poster Competition (http://www.purdue.edu/dp/ese/symposium/poster.html) needs your help! Here are what you can do to help with: * Please announce our ESE Poster Competition in the classes you teach, in order to get the word out to students, especially undergraduate students. We were low on entries from undergrads last year. So please get more undergrads involved! * Or you can distribute the flyers and guidelines (please see attached) to your students and encourage them to present their research and engagement activities in the poster competition. Their posters can be on any environmental subject! If you've already done so, please discard this message. We are grateful to any of your help! The ESE symposium poster committee: Kejia Pang (chair), FNR; Eric Mbonimpa, CE; Ida Ngambeki, ENED; Julie Speelman, ENTM; Leila Nyberg, CE.
