Morning, OIGP was recently made aware that we are able to nominate 1 student for awards by OGSPS. I'm so sorry for how late the notice is and how quick the turnaround would need to be, but this is a wonderful opportunity to nominate an ESE student in your area. As OIGP, we can nominate 1 student for the mentoring award and 1 student for the teaching award. You may visit the OGSPS Award Opportunities<https://www.purdue.edu/academics/ogsps/professional-development/ogsps-awards/> pages to learn more about each award and what the nomination packet should include, but below is a brief listing of what's required for each award: * Purdue OGSPS Mentoring Award for Graduate Students<https://www.purdue.edu/academics/ogsps/professional-development/ogsps-awards/2025-ogsps-mentoring-award-for-graduate-students/> - Due to OIGP - Feb. 12th * Doctoral students who are currently registered and in good standing * Applicants should assemble the following in one PDF document in this order: * A curriculum vitae. * A mentoring statement including your mentoring philosophy, commitment to mentoring and accomplishments in the area of mentoring (maximum of 500 words). * One letter of support from a mentee, advisor, or another staff member who has first-hand knowledge of your excellence in mentoring.
