The Alab is a co-learning space and multi-modal gallery that celebrates and supports creative modes of scholarly engagement, within and beyond Anthropology. Our open hours for this semester are Tuesdays 10:30am-12pm and Fridays 12:30-2pm. Our upcoming exhibit will be "Celebrating Indigeneity" in collaboration with the Sloan Indigenous Graduate Partnership: Exemplifying the various forms of survivance, adaptation, and flourishment of our Indigenous communities, this exhibition is an explicit celebration of the contributors' individual and collective connections to place and people. Each piece celebrates one's rich and rooted connections - to where and from who one derives - that together celebrate the multiple connections that comprise each person. Weaving together our experiences and stories, these pieces collectively illustrate that to be an Indigenous student, scholar, and/or researcher in academia is not a monolithic experience but a point of connection and departure. The exhibit opening will be hosted on Monday, April 7, 6pm-7pm in the Alab. Featured Artists: Taymee A. Brandon Andrew Binder Janelle Cronin Ramona Dwyer Jeremy W.
