Upcoming All-Hands Labs (3PM ET): Date Lead Speaker(s) Topic November 3 Jeffery Coulter (Kim Lab) – collaborations with Evans Lab and Kinzer-Ursem Lab Modeling Ca2+ and Actin in Dendritic Spines and Oocytes November 17 Alex Nguyen (Chan Lab) – collaborations with Evans Lab, Zartman Lab, Deng Lab AFM and Imaging ________________________________ LSFM Workshop Happening This Week EMBRIO teamed up with the Purdue Imaging Facility and Bruker to offer a three-day light-sheet fluorescence microscopy (LSFM) workshop on the Purdue campus this week, with hands-on demonstrations continuing today and tomorrow using the Bruker MuVi SPIM system. Participants are learning fundamental principles, exploring the applications in biological research, while practicing imaging workflows with expert guidance. Thank you to Dr. Weiwei Zhang, and Ph.D. student Nissa Larson for presentations yesterday highlighting how they have each used LSFM in their EMBRIO related research. ________________________________ Awards: 👏 Congratulations to Soumi Mukherjee (Gardner Lab) on her award-winning poster presentation at the recent 150th Anniversary of the Purdue Biological Sciences symposium!
