ChE Faculty, Research Staff and Graduate Students, Our commitment to safety is ongoing. The attached document summarizes the most frequent safety issues and violations that were observed in our 2011 self audits and inspections. The issues fall into the categories of: safety documentation, PPE, chemicals, gas cylinders, lasers, gas detectors, facilities and emergency preparedness. Required actions or updates are also provided. We ask that each research group review, discuss and follow-up on the identified safety issues that apply in their laboratories.
