ChE Faculty, Staff and Students, During the recent safety inspections, we observed several labs where teflon tape was used on the CGA fitting of a compressed gas cylinder. CGA fittings have straight threads and improper application of teflon tape can result in a leaking and hazardous connection. Please see the attached and remove teflon tape from your cylinder CGA fittings. Contact any of the safety committee members if you have questions. Thank you. Linda Linda S.
