ChE Faculty, Staff and Students,

During the recent safety inspections, we observed several labs where teflon tape was used on the CGA fitting of a compressed gas cylinder.  CGA fittings have straight threads and improper application of teflon tape can result in a leaking and hazardous connection.  Please see the attached and remove teflon tape from your cylinder CGA fittings.
