Faculty Recognition * Professor Jim Caruthers is the 2012-13 winner of the Shreve Teaching Award. This is determined based on votes from the senior students at the end of the spring semester. Student Recognition * Graduate student Shay Ogebule won the 'Best Graduate Paper Award' from the Rubber Division of the American Chemical Society for a paper she presented at the 182nd Technical Meeting of the ACS Rubber Division Meeting in Cincinnati, OH, October 9-11, 2012. Miscellaneous * The 2011-12 Work Environment Satisfaction Surveys are ongoing. All three completion rates are low: faculty 39%, graduate students 38%, staff 37%.
