Hello Everyone, It is my pleasure to announce that Yvette Rosas has accepted the position as the School of Chemical Engineering's Business Manager effective March 14, 2016. Yvette has been with Purdue University for 2 years and has been the Business Process and Training Manager for the College of Engineering Business Office. In this role, Yvette has been responsible for the onboarding of the new business office staff across COE which includes creating and managing their training plans and providing hands on training. Yvette has also played a large role as a "Subject Matter Expert" in multiple business office areas and assists with process changes and implementation. In 2015, Yvette was awarded the "Above and Beyond" award for the COE Business Office team and exemplifies teamwork in her everyday actions. Prior to coming to Purdue, Yvette has worked in the software industry as a Training Coordinator and Training Manager. As part of her responsibilities as the Business Process and Training Manager, Yvette has already been working in ChE to cover my absence. She will continue to spend time in both ChE and COE over the next 3-5 weeks while we transition her position. During this time, and throughout the summer you will still see my name and I will still be actively working on ChE projects. As originally communicated, I will continue to be involved in the school through the transition to the new head this fall. With Yvette's business office experience, though, I anticipate that she will be up to speed fairly quickly and able to provide you excellent service.
