Due to the many issues with the 'new' Print Server ECN is putting ChE back on the previous server this afternoon and we will look at migrating later this semester after a bit more testing is done. Since classes begin Monday this is being pushed as a priority and will mean printers using the print server will be down from about 1:20pm today until around 2pm (normally this would be done at the end of the day). This is the reverse of what was done on Wednesday and so if you had to un-install and re-install your printers you will most likely need to re-do that again to be able to print. If you didn't need to do anything then, you shouldn't need to do anything this time either. Once the change is completed I will send out one more email and check with those of you I have been working with to see if you can now print. Again - if you are unable to print after 2:30pm today and you have followed my instructions from the previous email (copied below), then please send an email to cheq@ecn.purdue.edu. Only do the following if you are unable to print to your printers. You can find the printers in your list by going to Start, Settings, Printers and Faxes. If you need to delete the printer simply highlight the printer and delete it. To re-add a printer you should can follow these directions - please substitute VPS4 in place of VPS8 https://engineering.purdue.edu/ECN/Support/KB/Docs/InstallingaVPSPrinter Please also note that you should most likely NOT add any printer with a name ending in _ps. If you find you are unable to print starting on Thursday and can't re-add the printers with the instructions provided, please send a note to cheq@ecn.purdue.edu - please do not reply to this message. ________________________________
