This morning myself and many others received a phishing email that looked fairly convincing with the subject of " Upgrade Purdue University webmail account immediately." The email contained a link that went to a non-Purdue webpage that is designed to look somewhat official which requests the user to enter his her email, login and password. Please remember not to click on links in emails unless you are 100% sure of their authenticity. These emails are designed to harvest your account information. If you did go to the website in the link and enter your email and password you should immediately change your password. When in doubt please send an email to cheq@ecn.purdue.edu and we will let you know if the email appear legitimate. Almost 100% of the time the answer is the email is a fake.
