Good morning, Please join me in congratulating Professor Rajamani Gounder for winning the Outstanding Faculty Mentor of Engineering Graduate Students Award this year! Here is a short statement recognizing Prof. Gounder for his commitment to mentorship: Professor Rajamani Gounder is recognized for his excellence in the mentorship of graduate students, in addition to all who cross his path, including undergraduates, postdocs, and collaborators. Prof. Gounder tailors his mentorship for individualized development towards one's academic and professional goals. In the stressful graduate school environment, Prof. Gounder has advocated for good mental health and work-life harmony as he supports his students pursuing other passions outside of research. There were several Professors who were in this year's running which goes to show we have some truly outstanding mentors in our department.
