This is an e-mail to announce that Haoran Yang and Dr. Mayank Shekhar are both winners of the School of Chemical Engineering's 2014 Citation Award. The 2014 Citation Award honors outstanding achievement by a Purdue Chemical Engineering graduate student who is the lead author on an article that has been cited the most times since 2012. Haoran Yang's article, "Nontoxic and Abundant Copper Zinc Tin Sulfide Nanocrystals for Potential High-Temperature Thermoelectric Energy Harvesting," has been cited 20 times in the 23 months since it was published in February of 2012. Mr. Yang is advised by Dr. Wu. Dr. Shekhar's article, "Size and Support Effects for the Water-Gas Shift Catalysis over Gold Nanoparticles Supported on Model AI2O3 and TiO3," has been cited 34 times in the 23 months since it was published in March of 2012. Dr. Shekhar graduated from our School in 2012, and he was co-advised by Dr. Ribeiro and Dr. Delgass. The School will honor Mr. Yang and Dr. Shekhar at the Faculty Lectureship Award Lecture on Thursday, April 24th, at 9 a.m. There will be a reception (with bagels and coffee) beforehand in the Atrium at 8:30 a.m. All are invited to attend.
