It also codifies into law that faculty governance bodies are to be "advisory." While this has always been true of the Purdue University Senate, it is unclear how this language affects the Senate's oversight of educational policy which is specified in our bylaws. Experiment Volunteers Needed - “Cognitive and Physiological Responses Under Different Conditions”

Dear CCE students, We are currently recruiting participants for a research study examining cognitive and physiological responses under different conditions. In this study, you will complete short cognitive tasks and surveys while wearing non-invasive sensors such as a heart rate monitor, an eye tracker, and a brain activity sensor. The study will take only about 1 hour and 45 minutes, and sessions will be held at Grissom Hall, Edwardson School of Industrial Engineering at Purdue University. [Cce-graduates-list] Experiment Volunteers Needed “The Control of Balance While Performing a Manual Task While Standing on a Sloped Surface and Interacting with Drones”

Dear CCE students, We are currently recruiting participants for a mixed-reality sloped roof experiment on workers’ balance under human–drone interaction. In this study, you will be asked to perform a shingle installation task while wearing an MR headset and other wearable sensors. The roof setup includes a slight incline to simulate real-world conditions. The entire experiment will be completed within 1.5 hours, and the location is at Herrick Lab. Due to the size limitations of the wearable sensors, we are primarily recruiting Male students for this study. If you have a history of cybersickness or are prone to VR-related discomfort, please kindly inform us in advance. Civil and Construction Engineers, Just a Reminder that Brandon Hardin, the 2025 CEGSAC Emerging Leader will be giving his lecture tomorrow at 3:30 in Hampton 1144. There will be a reception in Wood Common afterward where Sandwiches will be served. Brandon earned a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering in 2017 and a Master's degree in Civil Engineering in 2019 with a focus in Transportation from the Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering. He is currently an Operational Excellence Manager at Irving Materials IncCEG. Because of his momentous work in industry, efficient problem solving, and commitment to student development, we have chosen Brandon Hardin as the CEGSAC 2025 Emerging Leader.
