Woo hoo—congratulations on making it through another semester of hard work! With exams coming up next week, it’s time for end‑of‑the‑semester clean‑up. I’m also sharing additional information for students who will be graduating or leaving Purdue, so please read through everything carefully, even if you plan to stay over the summer. Action Items for Everyone * Let me know: * Who will be graduating * Who will be using their desk over the summer * Thoroughly clean and straighten your workspace and email me by noon on Tuesday, May 6 once your area is ready for inspection. * Clean all common areas, including: * Countertops * Refrigerator * Do not allow items to accumulate in G109, G292 (all rooms), 4113, 4114, 4129, 4147, 4149, or 4154. * Take nonessential personal items home. * Purge Purdue‑owned items only after checking with your advisor. * I’ll provide a new canister of disinfecting wipes that will be sufficient for cleaning all areas. Please remember to wipe: * The very top of cabinets * Drawer fronts * Outside surfaces of desks * After cleaning, notify me so I can inspect your area. ⚠️ If cleaning is not completed or I do not receive a response by noon on Tuesday, May 6, I’ve been instructed that your desk may be reassigned and any remaining items disposed of. Additional Steps for Graduating Students * Please be respectful to Purdue and the person who will be taking over your desk area. * In addition to the steps above, please: * Remove all personal items from G292, 4113, 4129, 4147, 4149, and 4154 that do not belong to the University * Clean inside desk drawers and the inside of the upper shelf * The goal is to make the space welcoming for the incoming graduate student. * I’ve attached a departure form to help you prepare for leaving the University. * Additional graduation‑related resources can be found here: https://engineering.purdue.edu/CCE/Academics/Graduate/Current/Graduating_Stu... Best wishes for your future, and thank you for the pleasant interactions during your time here. Desk & Key Reminders * If you no longer need or use your desk for any reason, please notify both me and your professor. * We currently have a desk shortage and a waitlist for these spaces. * Please return all keys to avoid Bursar charges: * $25 per unreturned key * Drop‑off location: HAMP 4141 * Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Please reach out if you have any questions or need anything. Thank you very much for your timely help! * Heather Heather Philhower Administrative Assistant Architectural, Geomatics, & Structural Engineering Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering Hampton Hall 4141 550 Stadium Mall Drive, West Lafayette, IN 47907 o: 765-494-2227 Chat with me on Teams.<https://nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fteams.microsoft.com%2Fl%2Fchat%2F0%2F0%3Fusers%3Dhphilhow%40purdue.edu&data=05%7C02%7Ccce-post-docs-list%40ecn.purdue.edu%7C34c3b5fc3ea14de56ba708dea6cb80a4%7C4130bd397c53419cb1e58758d6d63f21%7C1%7C0%7C639131590171464027%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=fO6NVD6A6EXKWGYL%2BTe%2BAZKiOcHEYzmwslbeBpcPSRY%3D&reserved=0>
