for Nanoscale Materials: Call-for-Proposals (March 2018) Importance: High Call for High-Impact Nanoscience & Nanotechnology User Proposals Center for Nanoscale Materials Argonne National Laboratory Deadline for submission: March 2, 2018 The Center for Nanoscale Materials<http://www.anl.gov/cnm> (CNM) is soliciting proposals for user-initiated nanoscience & nanotechnology research. The CNM provides external users with access to a broad range of capabilities for design, synthesis, characterization, and theory & modeling in order to significantly advance the understanding of nanoscale phenomena and develop functional nanoscale systems. Access is provided at no cost to users for research that is in the public domain. Prospective users are invited and strongly encouraged to contact CNM staff<http://www.anl.gov/cnm/downloads/cnm-scientific-contact-list> prior to submission to discuss their proposal ideas and learn more about the capabilities of interest to them within CNM's research groups<http://www.anl.gov/cnm/research>. The deadline for submission of proposals is 11:59 pm on Friday, March 2, 2018. Review the steps for becoming a user and guidelines for proposal submission<http://www.anl.gov/cnm/user-information>, including a preregistration step. The CNM holds three calls-for-proposals per year. An electronic posting<http://www.anl.gov/cnm/user-information/call-proposals> for this call is available.
