User Information Solvent Hood Use Please remember that only "Intrinsically safe" hotplate are allowed in solvent hoods. With the recent fire in a hood this is a major safety concern. Also housekeeping is also an issue. Too much "stuff" making it nearly impossible was also a contributing factor to the situation.
