Dr. Supratik Guha, Director of Physical Sciences at IBM will be our keynote speaker (8:45-9:30am) and we will have a panel 2:30-3:30pm. We will hear from Beverly Davenport Sypher (Vice Provost for Academic Affairs), Melba Crawford (Associate Dean for Research in College of Engineering), Nick Giordano (Physics Head) and Anil Bajaj (Mechanical Engineering Head). The panel will give an overview of the cluster hire initiatives at Purdue and hiring priorities in various departments. They will also discuss about opportunities/challenges for interdisciplinary research. Dick Schwartz has kindly agreed to moderate the panel.
