Part Time Position Available in Data Processing
Good Morning, There is a part time positions available (about 20 hours a week) that would be a great fit for a BME students on a meat quality certification project using a field mass spectrometry system that is funded by the Purdue Trask Innovation Fund. This is an internal position so it is ideal for PMP students looking to supplement their income while studying but could also be beneficial to a thesis MS students who need funding as well. We are looking for a motivated grad student to dedicate 20h per week to support a project for real-time data processing and reporting in an effort to translate a laboratory method of mass spectrometry into a field-compatible analysis. The method is focused on monitoring lipid biomarkers present in beef that are related to diverse aspects of its quality. The ideal candidate will know python, C#, and basic statistics. A willingness to work on the interface of instruments and software is a plus. The desired start date is August 2023, but an earlier start date is also possible.
