ARMS will be open today (Wed., Jan. 17) with restrictions outlined in the email below. This email is from Ryan Gallagher (Associate Vice President-Facilities Operations/Environmental Health and Safety). Please pay particular attention to the restrictions on "hot" lab work, the need to follow posted signs, and the fact that the building will only be available from 7 am until 11 pm. ***** From Ryan G. ****** ARMS update * Building will open safely on 1/17 with restrictions * Coordination between PUFD, O&M, EHS, and others * Opening building at 7am. Building will be closed at 11pm. Keycard access not available after 11 pm * Occupants should follow signage Restrictions * East and West entrances available only * All other exterior doors will be marked emergency exit only * Spaces closed * Atrium closed * Walkway will be made available to get between east and west side of building * Occupants must follow marked path * 3rd floor atrium bridge closed * B61 and B71 labs closed * No hot work in labs * “Due to ongoing work on the fire system, do not perform any hot work in your laboratory or fume hood, including open flames or anything that introduces sparks. Test your fume hood prior to using. If the fume hood does not operate properly, do not begin any chemical work.
