This is a reminder that we are still on "probation" with Purdue Health and Safety as to whether or not we will be able to keep this room open and available to our students. The past two days, there has been a sharp uptick of problems with the room being left in a mess - leftovers sitting out, sticky spills on the floor, spills on the table, etc., etc. Our service workers have been cleaning it up, but it is NOT their responsibility! Please remind everyone you work with that each individual is responsible for cleaning up after themselves. Should there be an unannounced inspection, and the "powers that be" would see the mess, they would shut the room down immediately, and we would lose access to the refrigerators, microwaves, etc. permanently. There are a large number of "new" people in the building (e.g., SURF, incoming grad students, etc.) who are not on our mailing list yet.
