ππππππππππππππππππ The topic for Decemberβs BRAG event is βPassions and Priorities: Academic and Industry Careers in Biomedical Sciences.β Dr. Brubaker will lead an informal guided discussion and share his insights from postdoc positions in both academia and industry, such as: * An Abandoned Post-PhD Startup * The Unicorn Academic-Industry Hybrid Postdoc * Large Pharma vs. Small Biotech Environments * Early Career Roles in Industry (e.g. bench, manager, venture capital) * Why industry wasnβt for meβ¦but almost wasβ¦ As icing on the cake, there will also be cookies to decorate (and devour). πͺ In addition to our regular BRAG group, I will open this event up to senior graduate students that are thinking about applying to academic and/or industry postdoc positions in the near future.
